Directions Performing Arts was established in 2005 and based in Bearsted, Kent.
We are dedicated to providing a high standard of Performing Arts education whilst expanding confidence, creativity and imagination, in a fun environment that promotes health, life skills and growth.
Syllabus classes offer students the opportunity to take Dance exams, medals, compete and work on regular professional productions and displays. Students from Directions have appeared on television/radio/films, theatre productions, they’ve recorded vocals and performed alongside professional singers and dancers as well as going onto further training achieving Degrees and Masters in Choreography and Performing Arts.
All the above are optional and there are many classes for those who wish to have fun, build confidence, get active and meet new friends.
Classes are available in Tap, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Commercial Street dance and Musical theatre following the syllabus of the National Association of Teachers of Dance (NATD).
Directions provide specialist high quality dance provision that fulfils the criteria in the National Curriculum from Nursery, KS1, KS2, & KS3.
As part of an exciting new initiative of the NATD (National Association of Teachers of Dance) Outreach programme into schools, our specialist and inspiring teachers can support and enrich your curriculum with fun, stimulating and fully inclusive Dance and Performing Arts Sessions.
